Rosemary Oil

Rosemary oil is frequently used in aromatherapy. It is a stimulating oil that can have a positive effect on a number of the systems of the body.

  • One of the major benefits of rosemary essential oil is as a mental stimulant. Inhaling the oil can aid concentration, so it is often recommended for those who are studying or travelling long distances.  It can also help to combat the symptoms of depression and is frequently used in vaporizers for this purpose. Rosemary is frequently recommended as a natural remedy for the symptoms of conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Rosemary can be beneficial for pain relief, so it is often recommended to dilute the oil into a carrier oil and massage into painful joints and other affected areas.  It is also helpful for conditions such as rheumatism to inhale the steam vapor of rosemary oil, so adding a few drops to bathwater can be beneficial.

  • Oil of rosemary can be beneficial for disorders of the digestive system such as indigestion, excess gas, and stomach pain by stimulating the production of gastric juices for digestion.
  • Massaging the abdomen with a rosemary essential oil blend can also help to stimulate menstrual flow.
